#1 Way to Raise Your Metabolism Tomorrow Morning

How many of you think you eat well (most of time)?  You could be following the regimen of eating six times throughout a day, a low-carb diet, a gluten-free diet, or you’re vegetarian or vegan. Some of you may be thinking, that none of those apply to me—and I just eat what I eat when I am in the mood for it at the time. And, that’s okay too (for now).

I think we can all attest that the concept of eating well is not new, but has been defined in so many different ways that for a regular person it can lead to confusion and even sometimes mistrust of what is true and what is not.

Although we will get into many conversations on different approaches to nourishing your body, the one theme will always stay true—food is thy medicine.

This concept will never be disproven—as it is the holy grail of nutrition. I know everyone has heard that you are what you eat; however, what I would like to add is it’s not always just about the food. There are many other questions that people forgot to ask in between that can increase your metabolism, energy and hydration at the least.

Did I mention I am a big time foodie! I honestly LOVE to eat! This is why as a coach and nutritional consultant this topic is so important to me—not only to educate people of the good, bad and ugly about nutrition, but also help those of you who need a bit more encouragement to understand that you can still eat well and eat incredible food

Watch this week’s FYCblog to learn a vital tip on how to increase your metabolism first thing tomorrow morning.

Coach Adam Cobb

  1. Great tip! I never knew about eating first thing in the morning. I have been eating after my workout about 1hr after waking up because working out with food in my belly is challenging. Can it it be a small amount of fruit? Is that enough to get my metabolism going? Mahalo:)

    P.S. Cute dog!!!

    1. Hey Melissa. Thanks for you comments. I would recommend a green juice and a small piece of fruit, e.g.., 1/2 banana, apple and/or pear.

  2. Hi Coach Adam!

    Hope all is well.

This is a HUGE obstacle for me as I’m just not hungry in the morning (most likely mental, or have trained my body to not be hungry in the am)…..yet I agree with you on this! I’m a model and holistic health coach. I gained 25 pounds last year due to hypothyroidism and chronic late stage Lymes Disease (went undiagnosed for 6 years). It’s definitely been a journey!!!! I’m focusing on regaining my health (aka losing the weight…slowly and healthfully). I feel wonderful and am healing through foods, natural supplements and super foods. I eat vegan, lots of raw veg, juice daily, enjoy smoothies, minimal fruit, quinoa and sweet potato for carbs, lots of fresh organic salads…but I think I’m doing it all wrong. Eating 3 big meals….delaying my breakfast and eating too many healthy fats (avocado – one a day, and nuts/seeds).

What would you recommend for breakfast for me? Most optimal metabolism boosting….Oatmeal with a green juice?

Is it better to eat 4-5 smaller meals, than my 3 larger ones, with my biggest one being in the evening ( as I don’t think I eat enough during the day…)

Gosh sorry for rambling. I admire and value your advice, knowledge and wisdom.

    Thank you so much!

    1. Hey Lisa! Thanks for sharing. When it comes avocados–I would recommend no more than a half of an avocado in a day. Let’s break up those 3 meals into 5 or 6 meals/snacks–making the first 2 meals in the morning the larger ones. And, feel ok that at night you may just have an all veggie meal–especially if you have had your big meals in the morning/afternoon and dinner is late. As far as breakfast choices, oatmeal and green juice is great. Other choices could be a rice or pea-based protein shake, scrambled tofu w/ spinach and almond cheese–or even quinoa porridge (add cinnamon, almond milk, pinch of salt, and few raspberries for fiber).

  3. Thank You Adam!! You are amazing and I truly appreciate it. Keep on doing what you’re doing! You are inspiring the world + changing lives. Peace, love, health + blessings xo L
