Hey Lisa! Thanks for sharing. When it comes avocados--I would recommend no more than a half of an avocado in a day. Let's break up those 3 meals into 5 or 6 meals/snacks--making the first 2 meals in the morning the larger ones. And, feel ok that at night you may just have an all veggie meal--especially if you have had your big meals in the morning/afternoon and dinner is late. As far as breakfast choices, oatmeal and green juice is great. Other choices could be a rice or pea-based protein shake, scrambled tofu w/ spinach and almond cheese--or even quinoa porridge (add cinnamon, almond milk, pinch of salt, and few raspberries for fiber).

Hi Coach Adam!

Hope all is well.

This is a HUGE obstacle for me as I'm just not hungry in the morning (most likely mental, or have trained my body to not be hungry in the am).....yet I agree with you on this! I'm a model and holistic health coach. I gained 25 pounds last year due to hypothyroidism and chronic late stage Lymes Disease (went undiagnosed for 6 years). It's definitely been a journey!!!! I'm focusing on regaining my health (aka losing the weight...slowly and healthfully). I feel wonderful and am healing through foods, natural supplements and super foods. I eat vegan, lots of raw veg, juice daily, enjoy smoothies, minimal fruit, quinoa and sweet potato for carbs, lots of fresh organic salads...but I think I'm doing it all wrong. Eating 3 big meals....delaying my breakfast and eating too many healthy fats (avocado - one a day, and nuts/seeds).

What would you recommend for breakfast for me? Most optimal metabolism boosting....Oatmeal with a green juice?

Is it better to eat 4-5 smaller meals, than my 3 larger ones, with my biggest one being in the evening ( as I don't think I eat enough during the day...)

Gosh sorry for rambling. I admire and value your advice, knowledge and wisdom.

Thank you so much!

Hey Melissa. Thanks for you comments. I would recommend a green juice and a small piece of fruit, e.g.., 1/2 banana, apple and/or pear.

Great tip! I never knew about eating first thing in the morning. I have been eating after my workout about 1hr after waking up because working out with food in my belly is challenging. Can it it be a small amount of fruit? Is that enough to get my metabolism going? Mahalo:)

P.S. Cute dog!!!
