Your Journal

We have been discussing subjects so far that enhance your health like nutrition, exercise, and the mental edge. I can’t imagine being where I’m at in my life if I didn’t write it down. Today’s entry is all about writing a down and journaling. You do have a journal? If not, get one. You will be amazed at where it can take you if you begin to write things down.

Track Your Success With Your Journal - Find Your CenterFirst, get real specific about your health goals. One time I was with a client and when I asked them about their health goals, they said lose weight. Then I followed up with, “What are your goals in your career?” They answered me with bullet points, 5 specific answers and action steps. I hope this is starting to make sense. The more specific you are with your goals the more effective you will be at achieving them. For example, my personal goals for my fitness are:

pushups: 100 in a row
pullups: 50 in a row
400: 59 seconds
1 mile: 4:59
2 mile: 11:59

What are your fitness goals? Write them down. Then list your nutrition goals, family goals, financial goals, and so on.

Eventually your journal will become more than just a goal journal. It will be your most prize possession. I used to just write my goals. Then it evolved to questions I had, sometimes followed with answers, and now my reflections flow into poetry, which I’ll share along the way and hope you share too.

Who would allow you to totally ignore, abuse, laugh with, swear at, shed tears on, get angry at and be totally honest with him/her? Your journal does. Your journal is an unconditional friend. It does not reject, manipulate, judge, laugh at, or ridicule you. It’s always there for you. So be honest with your best friend and it will help you discover who you are.

“The positive thing about writing is that you connect with yourself in the deepest way, and that’s heaven. You get a chance to know who you are, to know what you think. You begin to have a relationship with your mind.” — Natalie Goldberg

Access your own inner wisdom by tapping into the unconscious and intuition. Release stress, blocks and negative emotions, and spark imagination and greater vision. Go deeper. Reach higher with Journaling for self-empowerment. Become more calm, clear, creative, caring, connected, and conscious.

You will find your truth by writing your way to it!
