A 1-Step Plan to Fight Fatigue

Deep down, we all crave more time to live our lives to the fullest — to seize each moment and make the most of each day. But what if I told you what we really need is to infuse more quality into our time?

To squeeze the zest out of every minute of this gift called life, we need vitality and stamina. We want to do good work. We want to perform at our peak. And we can’t do that if we’re dragging through the day.

If we let it, fatigue will creep into our lives, weigh us down, slow us up, and rob us of priceless seconds, hours, and years that we can’t afford to waste. So how do you stay energized and enthusiastic? How do you avoid getting overwhelmed, overworked, and worn out?

It might not be what you think. Fatigue comes from deep within. So to get it out of your life, I’m going to ask you to get quiet and listen closely.

This week’s Coaching Conversation addresses one unexpected way you can fight off fatigue to live your life full on #8DaysAWeek

Cheers with water,
Adam

P.S. Fatigue is a sneaky thief that will run off with your most treasured resource if you let it. Stop it in its tracks.

How to Master Your Metabolism

It’s true — your metabolism is made up of a complex system that can be difficult to understand, but what’s also true is that mastering your metabolism is far simpler than you might think.

It comes down to one thing. One minute. One set of simple movements that will spark your metabolism as soon as you jump out of bed to greet the day.

It’s about setting your pace from the outset in the morning and getting your body moving, so you can keep your fire burning. Without motion, you’re not creating any energy and your metabolism will stay slow and sluggish, which is exactly what you don’t want.

So, you see, it’s simple — your metabolism depends on your momentum, and it’s up to you to get it started. Here’s exactly what you can do this weekend to master your metabolism.

This week’s Coaching Conversation addresses the steps you can take to simplify something most people overcomplicate. Now you know how to use this weekend to get ahead!

Cheers with water,

Adam

P.S. You are in control. You set the pace. You create your own energy. #8DaysAWeek

How to Talk to Your Partner About Their Health

Have you ever wanted to talk with your partner about their health and didn’t know how to have the conversation?

Maybe you decided to try to talk with your partner about their health and the conversation went horribly wrong, which happens to 99% in this situation, you are not alone.

Today, I tackle this controversial subject, so next time you will know what to say and how to say it, so you don’t end up in an argument, on the couch, or in a break.

This week’s tweetable is “Become the example of health.”

The big idea of this week’s Coaching Conversation is how to have “the health talk” without talking about it.

As always, your comments and questions keep the conversation going and I appreciate hearing from you.

Cheers with water,

March Madness

What is your favorite event of the year?  For some people it’s the Superbowl, Grammy’s, Oscar’s, but for me its March Madness, hands down, its not even close.

March Madness does not only represent a tournament where the best college basketball teams get together and play to see who is #1 (sure, of course I’m rooting for Duke and want to see Coach K cut down another net), but it also is a time of year that represents change.

The seasons are changing, from a cold and long winter, into a season of spring, renewal, hope, and adventure. It’s also nostalgic for me because of all the memories associated to March, from Spring break days, to skipping school with my best friends every year for the Thursday and Friday games which always will provide the biggest upsets (sorry Mum), to all the emotion that the best college players in the land share on and off the court.

To honor this very special time of year I want to share with you a motivational / highlight reel of the All-Time leading scorer of Duke Basketball history and NBA superstar JJ Redick. He’s one of the hardest working people I’ve had the privilege to work with, dedicated to his family and strong man of God.

I hope the video inspires, motivates, and helps you take your game to the next level. If you cheer for Duke during the NCAA tournament that would be a bonus. So get your popcorn out no butter needed, hummus and celery, coconut water, and Zesta-C, tissue box (because it does get emotional), and pick a favorite team.

PS:  A new season of the Coaching Conversation with yours truly is starting up in April with some special guests and a new look and feel. Hope you enjoy and as always, leave your comments and questions below and I’ll be sure to answer them.

BOO-YAH

It’s Time to Get Your Mind Right!

On January 2nd 2015, in Napa Valley, CA, it was a beautiful 75 degrees and ended up being the day I had a full restorative experience or what I like to call, “a Think Well session.”

I realized that up until that point in my life I thought I knew what resting was until the magic I was about to experience. Watch the video above to experience the magic with me.

Technology has made it so that we can work anywhere; therefore we work everywhere.

Does this sound familiar?

To infuse think well-time into your day you must be okay with letting go of aspects of your career so you can create excellence in aspects of your life.

Simply napping is not enough!

In the next 30 days, I’m going to teach you how to restore, reset, and feel refreshed.

Ultimately, so you feel energized to create momentum and feel fully alive and present in every moment.  The only way to put your “doing” down is to infuse think well techniques into your daily rhythm.

All you have do is sign up for the free #30DayThinkWellChallenge, starting Feb 1st, to receive daily messages from me that will consist of pics, videos, quotes, audio, copy, that will encompass meditation tips, spiritual practices, visualization exercises, planning techniques, anything and everything that will help you create mental space to get your mind right and gain the mental edge.

This is the simple most important lesson I can teach you. It’s what truly makes me a coach and separates me from most trainers and nutritionists.

To think well is not the absence of work, but the presence of the present moment. The reflection of what you have versus what you don’t have, who you are verse what you do.

I hope you accept my challenge and sign up for the #30DayThinkWellChallenge See you on the battle field, building the biggest muscle of all, the muscle of your mind.

It will be a game changing life exercise!

It’s time to get your mind right!
